Upcoming USDF/USEF Young Rider Graduate Program Virtual Education Session:

USDF is pleased to announce a new virtual education opportunity targeted toward USDF members who may be interested in attending a future USDF/USEF Young Rider Graduate Program! USDF will be hosting virtual sessions over zoom, focusing on crucial topics young adults need to learn, to prepare for a professional career in the equine industry. These sessions will be open to USDF members ages 20-28.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
USDF Youth Dressage Rider Recognition Pin Program

The USDF Youth Dressage Rider Recognition Pin Program is designed to recognize the accomplishments of youth in the dressage community at all levels. This program is open to students currently enrolled in grades 6-12 of a middle/high school or home school program and are a USDF Participating or Group Member. Pins can be earned in each year of enrollment in the program. The program year ends on June 30. For more information, visit the USDF website.

Youth Volunteer of the Year Award

Do you know a USDF youth member who is an outstanding volunteer and demonstrates an exceptional commitment to the USDF mission of “… education, recognition of achievement, and promotion of dressage”? Nominate them for the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award by August 31! For more information, visit the USDF website.

Youth Convention Scholarship

Want to attend the 2024 Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention in Houston? Apply for one our Youth Convention Scholarships! Applications must be received by August 31. More information and the application are available on the USDF website.

USDF Nominee for USEF Youth Sportsman's Award

ATTENTION future equine industry leaders, submit your application for the USEF Youth Sportsman’s Award which recognizes youth members for their achievements both inside and outside the sport. The overall winner of the USEF Youth Sportsman's Award is awarded a $1,000 education grant. Applications must be received in the USDF office on or before August 15. Visit the USDF website for more information.

USDF Youth Shining Star Award

Nominate a youth rider who has displayed extraordinary sportsmanship for the USDF Shining Star Award! Anyone other than the nominee’s parent can submit a nomination. More information can be found on the UDSF website.

USDF Arts Contest

This contest is open to all USDF members, who are both professional and amateur photographers and artists. The entry deadline is July 1. For more information, please visit the USDF website.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
The Dressage Foundation offers many funding opportunities for youth and young adult riders. Check the TDF website for available opportunities.

COMPETITIONS
USEF/USDF Dressage Seat Medal (DSM) Program

The DSM Program qualifying period is January 1 through the end of the qualifying period of the respective regional championship competition the athlete will be attending. More information can be found on the USDF website.

U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions

Applications of intent for the 2024 U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions are due by June 13. Contact festival@usef.org with any questions.

USDF Youth Outreach Clinics

USDF’s Youth Outreach Clinics, held in conjunction with the USDF FEI Youth Clinic Series, are a new educational opportunity for our "grassroots" youth riders.

Each of these clinics will be held over two days and will include a variety of instruction, with the goal of introducing dedicated youth riders to the USDF “youth pipeline” and the opportunities it offers. For detailed information and to learn more about this opportunity, visit the  USDF website.

2024 Dressage Program Clinic Opportunities

USEF invites dressage riders to apply for the USEF Dressage Programs Clinics. The USEF Dressage Program Clinics are a new educational opportunity for senior, youth, U25 athletes, and young horses through the Grand Prix level. The purpose of these clinics is to serve as talent scouting as an initiative of the Program Pathway. These clinics are taught by top U.S. coaches who are members of the USEF Dressage Coaches Support Network.  For more information, please visit the USEF website here.

Discover Dressage/FEI North American Youth Dressage Championship

Please note that the application fee for the Junior, Young Rider, and U25 divisions will be increasing from $100 to $300 after April 23rd at 11:59pm ET. The Junior and Young Rider application can be found here on the USDF website. The U25 application can be found here on your USEF Athlete Dashboard.
