Lexington, KY (September 5, 2019) - The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) is pleased to announce that Kristi Wysocki, of Coupeville, WA, will be recognized as USDF's 2019 Volunteer of the Year honoree at this year's Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention. Members recognized with this honor have demonstrated exceptional commitment towards carrying out USDF's mission, through consistent and cumulative volunteer activities. As this year's honoree, Kristi will be presented with a perpetual trophy, established by Lisa Gorretta, which is on permanent display in the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame. She will also receive a “keeper” trophy and be featured in the yearbook issue of USDF Connection.

An FEI 5* Para-Equestrian and 4* Dressage Judge, as well as a USEF ‘S' Judge and ‘R' Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Judge, Kristi has lent her experience to numerous national and international competitions such as World Equestrian Games, the Global Dressage Festival, USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals, Great American/USDF Regional Championships, and countless CDIs and CPEDs. In addition to these impressive credentials, Kristi is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist who has dedicated herself to the sport, as well as USDF's mission. Through her service on various USDF, USEF, and FEI working groups and committees, Kristi has played an integral role in the development and success of many of the educational and competitive programs we know today, including the USDF Breeders Championship Series, Sport Horse Prospect Development Forum, Sport Horse Seminars, Youth/Young Adult Breeders and Handlers Seminars, and Breeder of Distinction Award. Kristi's volunteer efforts, within the organization, exemplify the qualities USDF looks for in its Volunteer of the Year honorees.

USDF President Lisa Gorretta commented, “Kristi Wysocki is a perfect choice as recipient as she is a truly dedicated volunteer who has unselfishly given her time and expertise in so many areas for the betterment of the sport and our programs. She manages to fit whatever we ask of her into a packed judging career and clinic schedule. This recognition is both well-deserved and long overdue!”
