Breeder of Distinction Award

USDF Breeder of Distinction awards are based upon scores earned by horses in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding (DSHB), USDF Breeders Championship Series (USDFBCS) Final, Materiale, Great American/USDF Regional Championship and Dressage classes.

DSHB and Materiale scores are converted to point values, with the bronze, silver, and gold awards each having a minimum requirement of points earned. Beginning October 1, 2022, the new ruby and sapphire awards will require Great American/USDF Regional Championship and Dressage class scores at Third Level and above.

Additional requirements outlining a minimum number of judges and horses will also apply to each level of the award. Scores earned October 1, 2000, forward are eligible to count towards this award.

The new Platinum-Diamond award will recognize all breeders who have earned and been awarded all levels of recognition (bronze, silver, gold, ruby, and sapphire).
